Goldwin Clothing Brand of Soho, London
Goldwin, a contemporary clothing brand known for its sleek, modern aesthetic, recently
opened a new outlet in the heart of Soho on Broadwick Street. They wanted a space that
reflected the energy of their brand, which is stylish, functional, and entirely
customer-focused. The challenge? Their new location was previously a food outlet, meaning
the space required a complete reimagining from the ground up. Bry-Kol was brought on
board to make that vision a reality.
The Challenge
Transforming a former food outlet into a high end clothing store was no small feat. The
existing building infrastructure had to be stripped back entirely. That meant removing all
existing services and starting from scratch with brand-new systems.
The scope included:
● A new air conditioning system capable of keeping the sales floor comfortable and the
merchandise in perfect condition.
● Ventilation systems that would integrate seamlessly into the architecture while
performing efficiently.
● Plumbing installations to meet the building’s needs.
Adding to the complexity, the building has seven floors above the store, with the external
plant located on the rooftop. Routing all new systems from the roof down to the ground floor
sales area was a significant logistical challenge, requiring careful planning and precise
execution. Every pipe, duct, and vent had to be thoughtfully placed to fit within the
architectural constraints without compromising the clean, modern look Goldwin demanded.
Our Approach
From the outset, we knew this project required a mix of technical skill, imagination and
attention to detail. We started by conducting a thorough site survey, assessing the existing
infrastructure and mapping out the most efficient and practical routes for all services.
Next, we designed bespoke solutions for air conditioning, ventilation, and plumbing that
could navigate the vertical complexities of the building. The aim was to ensure every system
was fully integrated into the architecture, invisible to customers yet performing flawlessly
behind the scenes.
Throughout the project, we maintained close communication with Goldwin to ensure the
design aligned with their brand vision and their expectations for a high-end retail finish.
Every decision, from system placement to final installation was made with the customer
experience in mind.
The Result
The completed store is a striking transformation. The air conditioning, ventilation, and
plumbing are all neatly concealed within the architecture, leaving a clean, modern space that
feels effortless and welcoming. Customers experience a boutique that is not only stylish but
also perfectly comfortable and functional.
The project was completed on time and within budget, and Goldwin was able to open their
doors on schedule. The client was thrilled with the results, praising the way the space
combines functionality, comfort, and brand identity in one seamless experience.
