ENGINEER ROLE
Refrigeration & A/C Engineer

As a refrigeration and air conditioning engineer, you’ll service, maintain, and repair a wide range of commercial and industrial cooling systems.  This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse environments, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and reliability for all types of refrigeration and climate control equipment.

Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer
Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, with overtime available
Location: Stoke-on-Trent, ST6 3QF

across a wide range of sectors, including the NHS, education, the prison service, offices, and retail, so
no two days are ever the same!


You’ll work with a variety of equipment such as upright and under-counter fridges and freezers,
display units, cold rooms, ice machines, cellar cooling, bottle coolers, VRVs, VRFs, and split air
conditioning systems.

What We’re Looking For


● FGAS Qualified – minimum 3 years’ experience
● NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (desirable)
● Full UK Driving Licence
● Proven experience in field-based service, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and A/C
equipment

What’s Included in the Package


● Basic salary up to £40,000
● 40 hours per week (Mon–Fri)

● Callout rota: 1 in 6

Salary: £30,000 per year (dependent on experience) + overtime & benefits
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Stoke-on-Trent – Nationwide Contracts


About the Role

Are you an experienced Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer looking for a role where your skills are valued, your development is supported, and every day brings fresh challenges? As an Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer, you will:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of AC systems, including VRV/VRF, splits, AHUs, FCUs, and more
  • Diagnose faults and complete minor repairs
  • Provide detailed job reports and communicate effectively with customers
  • Ensure all work meets industry standards and complies with health & safety requirements

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Hold relevant F-Gas certification (2079)
  • Have proven experience in AC maintenance
  • Can work independently and manage your own schedule
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
